0419 234 567Founded by Catherine Whitmore in 2003 with one simple promise: every campaign run end-to-end by a principal, never passed to a junior. Twenty-two years on, we've kept that promise — and the listings cap that makes it possible.
Catherine Whitmore opened Westcliff Property on Glenferrie Road in November 2003. The brief was simple: stop being a number in someone else's brand. She'd spent eight years at a national agency and watched too many campaigns lose their character once a property hit the production line — junior agents, copy-paste marketing, vendors phoned by people they'd never met.
Westcliff was built around the opposite. Three principals, never more than thirty active listings at any time, and a cap on individual agent caseload so every campaign gets full attention. The model has been tested against three property cycles since — boom in '07, the GFC, the COVID-era surge — and the vendor satisfaction scores have stayed above 4.8 / 5 every year.
Today we settle roughly $1.2 billion in residential sales a year across Hawthorn, Toorak, Kew, Camberwell, South Yarra and Hawthorn East. We work with vendors moving up, downsizing and divesting estates — and increasingly with buyers' advocate clients on the other side of the table.
Selling a home is the largest financial transaction most people ever go through. It deserves the same care a good lawyer or accountant would bring — discreet, considered, and personally led by someone whose name is on the door.
